Skiathos is a small Greek Island, part of the Sporades. It's size may be small (about 46 sq km) but it is one of the top holiday destinations in the world. The island is made to explore by sea. Some of the best beaches can only be reached by boat. Tsougrias Island, popular with local residents, is just a few minutes from your doorstep at Porto Castello. Lalaria Beach is famous for its smooth white stones and has been the backdrop for several movies. Take a boat trip from the harbor, or rent your own boat.
